Celia Cruz’s mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx looks downright homey. Colorful plants flank a modest walkway, and clear side windows let visitors peer inside, where family photos, a rosary and a Cuban flag rest atop the singer’s tomb, along with a framed magazine clipping about “The 10 Unbelievable Wigs of Celia Cruz.”

Eventus Wins One for The Queen

The World Intellectual Property Organization's ruling transfers the domain CeliaCruz.com to the Queen of Salsa's Estate MIAMI, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Eventus, the leading national Hispanic full-service experiential marketing, sports and entertainment company, announced today that the Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Organization's (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center, ruled in favor of Eventus' claim to have the rights to the domain name celiacruz.com revert to the Queen of Salsa's estate. As the official representative of the Celia Cruz estate, Eventus filed a complaint in January before WIPO, seizing the domain name from a Cayman Island-based corporation.

2nd Annual Walk-a-Thon honors Celia Cruz this Saturday

This Saturday is the Second Annual Lourdes P. Aguila Memorial Walk-a-Thon honoring La Reina de la Salsa herself, Celia Cruz.  The event is being hosted by La Liga Contra el Cancer and will take place at Tropical Park, where community leaders and celebrity residents of our fair city will turn out to support this worthy cause.  Participants will include Willy Chirino, Albita, Oscar D'Leon and Tito Puente Jr.
