The new Celia Cruz mural in Wynwood is a crowd must in the area, and we couldn’t be happier.
The Museum of Graffiti partnered with Spotify to make a mural of Celia Cruz in celebration of the hispanic heritage month, and it hasn’t stopped receiving visitors since.
This 20-foot mural was painted by artist Cale K2S (@cale.k2s). Amazing piece! Thanks for bringing so much of our heritage to the neighborhood!
As part of our efforts to help the iconic image of The Queen stay in Wynwoood, we promoted a giveaway, as part of a combined effort with the Museum of Graffiti and Mi Musica Cubana project. During Hispanic Heritage month we encouraged people to help us visualize Celia’s wall. We loved seeing everyone who participated with creative pictures: dancing, laughing and celebrating their heritage with Celia & a lo Celia.
The winners of the giveaway will take home products from our Celia Cruz store – an initiative that promotes Celia Cruz legacy in our latin music and culture -. They will also be rewarded from our partners, the Museum of Graffiti, and Mi musica cubana project.
The Celia Cruz legacy project would like to thank all of the media that echoed this initiative, and promoted the presence of Celia in the graffiti hub of Miami, as a way to cherish and share with proud our roots & joy for life and good music.
Located along the highly trafficked corridor of NW 26th Street at NW 3rd Ave., the wall lives among the 16 other murals that are part of the Museum of Graffiti’s mural program.

El nuevo mural de Celia Cruz en Wynwood es un lugar super visitado por los que frecuentan el área, y no podríamos estar más felices. El Museo del Grafiti, en asociación con Spotify, tuvo la iniciativa de crear este mural de Celia Cruz en celebración del mes de la herencia hispana, el cual no ha dejado de recibir visitantes desde entonces.
Este mural de 20 pies fue pintado por el artista Cale K2S (@ cale.k2s). ¡Una pieza asombrosa! ¡Gracias Cale K2S, por traer gran parte de nuestra herencia al vecindario!
Entre nuestras iniciativas para ayudar a que la imagen icónica de La Reina permaneciera en Wynwoood, promocionamos un sorteo durante el mes pasado de conjunto con el Museo del Graffiti y el proyecto Mi Música Cubana. Durante los días de celebración de nuestra herencia Hispana, alentamos a la gente a visualizar el muro de Celia en redes sociales, haciéndose fotos creativas en el lugar.
Nos encantó ver a todos los que participaron: bailando, riendo y celebrando su herencia con Celia y a lo Celia.
Los ganadores del sorteo seguirán celebrando con productos de nuestra tienda Celia Cruz (una iniciativa que promueve el legado de Celia Cruz en nuestra música y cultura latina). También serán recompensados por nuestros socios, el Museo del Graffiti y el proyecto Mi música cubana.
El Celia Cruz Legacy Project quiere agradecer a todos los medios que se hicieron eco de esta iniciativa y promovieron la presencia de Celia en el centro de graffiti de Miami, como una forma de apreciar y compartir con orgullo nuestras raíces y alegría por la vida.
Ubicado a lo largo del corredor de NW 26th Street en NW 3rd Ave., el muro de Celia coexiste con otros 16 murales que forman parte del programa de murales del Museo de Graffiti.
