Lucrecia Revives Celia Cruz’s Spirit with “Bemba Colorá (En Vivo)”, The First Single from Celia El Musical

The legacy of The Queen of Salsa continues to shine with the release of “Bemba Colorá (En Vivo)”, a powerful live rendition performed by acclaimed Cuban singer Lucrecia. The single marks the beginning of a new era for fans of Celia Cruz, serving as the first release from the upcoming album Celia El Musical, scheduled for early 2026.

Celia El Musical is a groundbreaking theatrical experience that celebrates the life, music, and legacy of Celia Cruz. Combining live music, dance, and multimedia storytelling, the production imagines Celia returning to the stage for one final concert, filled with the same passion, joy, and authenticity that defined her career.

“Bemba Colorá,” one of Cruz’s most iconic songs, was originally released in 1966 and remains a symbol of Afro-Cuban pride and identity. This new live version captures that same infectious energy, reimagined with modern arrangements and the vibrant voice of Lucrecia, who delivers the performance with both reverence and vitality.

The show was produced by Omer Pardillo-Cid, Nelson Albareda, and Gonzalo Rodríguez, and features the Celia Cruz All-Stars, a 13-piece orchestra composed of leading Latin musicians. Together, they recreate the essence of Celia’s sound while bringing it to new generations of listeners.

Following “Bemba Colorá,” the second single, “Yerbero Moderno (En Vivo)”, will be released on November 21, 2025, continuing the celebration of Celia’s timeless repertoire. The full Celia El Musical album, featuring live renditions of her most beloved hits, will arrive in early 2026, distributed by ONErpm.

Lucrecia, one of the most respected Cuban artists of her generation, brings decades of experience to this role. Her dynamic voice and deep connection to Celia’s music have made her the perfect interpreter for this tribute, ensuring that Celia’s message of unity and joy continues to inspire audiences around the world.
