Celebrating Celia! Is a musical journey through legendary singer’s best hits in her repertoire brought to life by the band that has kept her memory alive since her passing, Celia Cruz All Stars. Featuring Lucrecia, Xiomara Laugart and Celia Cruz All Stars performing hits from La Vida es un Carnaval to Tu Voz, from Quimabara to La Negra Tiene Tumbao.

Celia Cruz, hailed as the Queen of Salsa, was one of the most successful Latin entertainers of the 20th century. A vibrant, tireless performer, she won over generations of listeners with her unique voice and inimitable personality. She remains a beloved figure, an icon of Latin culture. During her lifetime, she received a myriad of awards and honors which included multiple platinum and gold albums, three GRAMMY® and four Latin GRAMMY® awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1994, President Bill Clinton honored her with the National Medal of the Arts. The voice of La Guarachera de Cuba was silenced forever on July 16, 2003, but today, her light shines brighter than ever.
Xiomara Laugart has performed throughout the United States and internationally, and recorded and/or performed with Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Albita, Omara Portuondo, Jacky Terrasson, Omar Sosa, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Dave Valentin, Daniela Mercury, Isaac Delgado, Carlinhos Brown, Arto Lindsay, Roy Hargrove, Ron Blake, Macy Gray, Erykah Badu, Ana Torroja, Fun Loving Criminals and Busta Rhymes, among others. She also appeared in the film Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and in the German/Cuban film Paraíso Bajo las Estrellas. Xiomara originated the role of Celia Cruz in the Off-Broadway musical Celia: the Musical.
Lucrecia is one of the most versatile Latin female vocalists working today, whose performances are characterized by her intensity and high energy in the tropical genre, and her refined musicality in her interpretations of boleros and jazz. Her range encompasses a wide spectrum including Latin, jazz, pop, and electronic music. She has collaborated with such artists as Celia Cruz, Paquito D’Rivera, Chavela Vargas, Albita, Chano Domínguez and Patato Valdés, among others. Her latest internationally acclaimed release Album de Cuba recreates the golden age of Cuban music.
Celia Cruz All Stars bring back to life part of modern and classic the Queen of Salsa’s repertory. Songs like “La Negra Tiene Tumbao”, “Quimbara”, “Usted Abusó”, “La Vida Es un Carnaval”, “Bemba Colorá”, among others, return to the stage in remembrance of one of the most influential artists of all times.

In October 2013, Celia Cruz’ birthday was honored with a specially-designed Google Doodle celebrating the Queen of Salsa’s life and legacy on her special day.
